High-resolution, high-load Flash ODS Premium columns exhibiting much higher
resolution in sample purification than the conventional columns have been successfully
developed with Yamazen's high-precision packing technology, packing columns evenly
and tightly, using 30 um media.
Although they insure the high resolution in sample
purification, they can be used as disposable columns, which broaden the range of
reversed-phase flash chromatography.
They can be used not only for synthetic low molecular compounds but also for
separation of peptides and natural products.
In addition, since the target compound can be obtained with a sharp peak, post-treatment
such as dry solidification of the fractions can be done easily and efficiently.
Tough-to-separate samples like natural products consisting of multiple components,
which are likely to contaminate the column, can be well separated at low cost.
Flash ODS Premium columns can also be used in tandem (two in series). Tandem mode is recommended when higher separation is required. Even though they are packed with fine particle size media, the rising pressure is suppressed with Yamazen ODS Premium columns.
By using ODS BIO with low hydrogen bonding property, basic compounds can be detected and separated as sharp elution peaks without tailing.
Yamazen's ODS Inject column is devised to absorb samples quickly. It can also serve as a guard column, since it can remove strongly adsorbed components near the origin.
The Rf gradient technology that Yamazen has developed and cultivated in the normal phase chromatography can be applied to the reversed-phase chromatography and the elution position of the target compound can be automatically adjusted to give the proper retention for a good sample separation.
Separation is improved by optimizing the elution position, and a peak seen as a shoulder can now be well separated.
